The Rotary Club of Harrogate Brigantes

Welcome to Harrogate Brigantes. We are a multi-lifestyle Rotary Club. Our mission is to make a difference locally, nationally and internationally and to have a great time while we’re doing it.

Last year we raised over £20,000. We helped a disabled riding school, Harrogate Homeless, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Dementia Forward and lots of other groups. Together with local schools, we’ve bought Shelterboxes for people whose lives are shattered by natural disasters. We’ve equipped schools in rural Nepal with computers and the internet and we’re working with other Clubs to extend this provision. Through Rotary Foundation we’re working with the Gates Foundation to eradicate polio worldwide – and we’re winning. There’s all this and much, much more.

We enjoy being Rotarians for what we can give to others and for what Rotary can give us.  Our Evening Group meets weekly in the Crown Hotel. We currently have around 40 members in total.

Life isn’t just about fund-raising. We try to cater for all interests and have an active social programme so we have groups of walkers, golfers (all abilities) and cyclists as well as a lively book club. Ours is a club where you make friends. We arrange visits and recently tried our hand at clay-pigeon shooting.
