Desert Island Discs of a Brigantes Member

Brigantes member Moya Prichard was our castaway this time, prompted by Guy Wilson standing in For Lauren Laverne who was unavailable.

Moya took us through her eventful life thus far, taking in marriage to Keith, living in Wiltshire and Jersey before moving to Harrogate. She focussed especially on her work in theatre and  in particular her time as Chair of Harrogate Theatre Board.

Her choice of music, reflecting many aspects of her life, was:

  •  There’s No Business Like Show Business from ‘Annie Gey Your Gun’ (Ethel Merman)
  • Top of the World (The Carpenters)
  • The Last Farewell (Roger Whittaker)
  • The Flower Duet by Delibes (Kiri Te Kanawa and Katherine Jenkins)
  • If I Were a Rich Man from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ (Topol)
  • Che Gelida Manina from ‘La Boheme’ (Russell Watson)
  • Bring Him Home from ‘Les Miserables’ (Colm Wilkinson)
  • Maire My Girl (Josef Locke)
