This evening we were joined by Angela Smith who came to talk about her role as a Community Champion in the Asda Store, Harrogate. We were told the Asda Foundation was set up in 1988 and is a registered charity, who impact on local communities, making independent grants to provide support for good causes. Angela referred to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, when on one occasion Asda raised £100,000 for their support. On a smaller scale Asda have provided support for Help the Homeless and providing football strips for schools. This was a very humorous evening, by a lady who is passionate about Harrogate Community charitable support. Well Done Angela – many thanks.
