This was a local Walk around Fountains Abbey organised by Kelivin Burkinshaw and certainly a walk to remember.
We set out on a white frost morning with a temperature of -3! The scenery was magnificient and we walked along a circular route for some 7 miles on a very frozen surface which crackled under foot. The skeletal trees were majestic in their appearance as indeed, were herds of many deer. A coffee stop and later lunch was essential. A perfect day.
